This book provides a framework to a continuum of mathematical concepts. There is a wealth of hands-on activities for students to explore mathematical ideas — number operations (whole number, fractions, and decimals), pattern, geometry, measurement, probability, graphing and problem solving. Students learn to recognize and use mathematical patterns to transfer knowledge from one area of mathematics to another. The lessons include suggested teacher dialog, step-by-step illustrations, and blackline masters.
